Spring Equinox Women's Wellness Workshop
Celebrate the Spring Equinox through movement and intention during this relaxing evening for women.
Time & Location
Mar 20, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Waunakee, 5682 WI-19, Waunakee, WI 53597, USA
About the event
The Spring Equinox represents a lightening and lifting up that has been building since the full Worm Moon. We shift from the quiet and introspective focus of winter to more outward, engaged, and energetic feelings. Whenever there is a pull from two directions, in this case from the quiet of winter to the activity of spring, it is vital to find an anchor in the present moment.
The evening will include:
- A candlelit gentle yoga flow (blocks and various options provided) to reap the benefits of movement for our bodies, minds, and souls.
- A guided meditation (yoga nidra) to nurture ourselves through deep rest and relaxation.
- Journaling and setting intentions around a bonfire (weather permitting) with soothing warm golden milk latte (decaf).
You will be lead by Amanda Sherer, a trained yoga teacher with years of experience teaching movement classes throughout the Madison area. The event will take place at the beautiful Schumacher Farm Park just north of Madison in Waunakee. The workshop will be in their climate-controlled building, the Center for Rural History, except for the bonfire which will be outdoors. Feel free to come early to wander the prairie trails and connect more with nature and the seasons.
Participants should bring their own yoga mat (if you don't have one, reach out as I may have one for you to borrow), water bottle, and any props (like a small pillow and/or blanket) to make yourself comfortable during the guided meditation.
