Movement is medicine.

About
Amanda Sherer

I first tried a yoga class in 2011 but was made to feel like such an outsider, I never went back. After years of teaching group fitness classes, I wanted to transition to something that was more low impact. I completed my 200 hour teacher training in 2021 and have been focused on creating yoga classes where everyone feels like they belong ever since.
What I love most about yoga is how multifaceted it is. It can relax the mind, increase physical strength and stamina, alleviate everyday aches and pains, and nurture the soul - all with just a body and a mat (and props of course!). I'm a strong advocate of yoga being for every body, offering various options and encouraging everyone to just do what feels good. As a visual learner myself, my teaching style is very demonstrative along with lots of verbal direction.
When I'm not leading movement, you can find me working as a county park administrator, spending time with my husband, daughter, and pets, and listening to Brandi Carlile on repeat.
